The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer women’s service organization comprising 3,000 chapters and over 180,000 members. On October 11, 1890, 18 women officially organized the NSDAR for historic, educational, and patriotic purposes. Since that day, more than 900,000 women have joined, representing chapters in 50 states and many countries around the world.

The Western Shores Chapter, NSDAR, invites you to join us in service to our community. Our chapter projects seek to help students and veterans, and our programs focus on genealogy, history, education, and patriotism.

We welcome any woman for membership who is over 18 years of age and who is descended from a man or woman who aided in achieving American Independence during the period between April 19, 1775, and November 26, 1783. Information on membership in the DAR can be found here.
